MANILA — Ginebra San Miguel plans to build as many as 4 new plants to reclaim its position as the country's top hard liquor producer, company president Ramon Ang said.
The company is looking at 8 potential sites for the production facilities. Ginebra will have 10 factories once the expansion is complete, Ang told reporters.
The new plants will produce hard liquor as well as flavored drinks and lower alcohol mixes, he said.
Shares of Ginebra San Miguel were down 1.85 percent to P23.90 in early trading on Wednesday.
