MANILA – After suffering two unfortunate miscarriages and losing her twins, Heart Evangelista is taking some time off.

Star Cinema, citing the actress’ Instagram live session last Friday, reported that Evangelista will soon take a trip abroad to recover, grieve and move on.

“My husband has decided for me that I should leave the country and take a breather, take a break. So in a few days, I’ll be going away for a while,” she said as quoted by Star Cinema.

“I feel that I think it’s time to get out of the house. I’ve been staying home since the day I found out. I haven’t really been out. So I think I deserve to go out now and start moving forward and just wait for that rainbow to show up,” she added.

Despite what happened, Evangelista said she still trusts God’s plans for her.

“I’ve always been very prayerful. I’ve always trusted God with what He has planned for us. I’ve never ever questioned God. I’ve never questioned what He wants for us or why I lost my baby. I feel that at the end of the day, He wants the best for us, the best for the baby,” she said.

Although it is “extremely painful and confusing at times,” Evangelista believes there is a reason for everything and she just has to look at the brighter side.

“You have to just trust in God that it’s going to be okay and He has just such a better a plan. And I think for me, the lesson that I learned, I was humbled. That I’m such a planner with my life but at the end of the day, it’s still what God wants for you and I get that and I accept that,” she said.

Having realized this, Evangelista is grateful to know that “He wants the best for all of us.”

Evangelista first announced her pregnancy back in early May. She lost one of her twins later month, and she revealed that she also lost the remaining one early June.
