After six days of past-midnight debates and several debacles, the 28-member bicameral conference committee approved on Wednesday night the reconciled version of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), which was renamed the Organic Law for the Bangsamoro in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) or the Bangsamoro Organic Law.
Jointly presided by Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, the bicameral panel has concluded its debates on the contentious provisions of House Bill 6475 and Senate Bill 1717.
