MANILA — Kris Aquino felt "genuine fulfillment" from her latest movie "I Love You, Hater," which had its red-carpet premiere on Tuesday.

The Star Cinema film, which also stars Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, opens in theaters nationwide on Wednesday.

Aquino made headlines once again when she attended the premiere with Attorney Gideon Peña, who is being romantically linked to her.

The film was also graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board, according to her post on Wednesday.

"There was a feeling of genuine fulfillment in our finished product," Aquino wrote in the lengthy post, praising her two young co-stars who 
"continue to amaze me with their brilliance."

She also thanked veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez "for the opportunity to have one of my most memorable on screen moments."

But she said her "real gratification" comes from seeing the emergence of "another woman director" Giselle Andres.

Andres worked as assistant director and production designer for several films and teleseryes before making her directorial film debut with last year's "Loving in Tandem."

"I Love You, Hater" is her second film as a director.

Aquino called Andres "a formidable and compelling storyteller of what we all hold dearest — our bond with our families — in this movie’s case our complicated and heartwarming relationships with our individual fathers."
